Attorney General James Uthmeier has announced the arrest of Keith Wallis, 39, from Palm Beach, in connection with an organized retail theft operation that affected multiple counties in Florida. Wallis faces two counts of felony organized retail theft, three counts of felony dealing in stolen property, and one count of felony money laundering.

“Florida has the number one economy in the nation because of our commitment to law and order,” said Attorney General James Uthmeier. “Organized retail theft drives up prices for consumers, and that is not a result we are going to tolerate. These schemes will be met with the maximum punishment allowed under the law.”

Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw commented on the investigation: “This arrest send a clear message that organized retail theft, no matter how coordinated or far-reaching, will be aggressively investigated and prosecuted. Those who profit from stealing in our communities will be held accountable.”

The case was led by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Office of Statewide Prosecution with support from Martin County Sheriff’s Office and Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

According to investigators, between July 2025 and February 2026, Wallis carried out 75 thefts at Target stores across Florida from Orlando to Miami. In each incident, he reportedly selected large boxes of trading cards along with taco seasoning packets priced at 99 cents each. At self-checkout stations, he would pay only for the seasoning packets before selling the stolen trading cards through his eBay account.

The total loss for Target exceeded $10,000 while Wallis allegedly generated nearly $40,000 by selling these goods online. Authorities believe there may have been additional thefts at Walmart and Publix locations as well.

If convicted on all charges, Wallis could face up to 90 years in prison.

Assistant Statewide Prosecutors Chris Olowin and Monique Wilson are assigned to prosecute this case in Florida’s Nineteenth Judicial Circuit.
