Attorney General James Uthmeier has announced the arrest and charging of two individuals in Hillsborough County for trafficking a child for commercial sex acts. The suspects, Terrance Whitfield Jr. and Brittany Armstrong, are facing felony charges after an investigation uncovered their involvement in exploiting a child by advertising on adult escort websites.
“Florida’s law enforcement heroes rescued a young girl from a living nightmare, and the two demented individuals responsible are behind bars,” said Attorney General James Uthmeier. “Our Office of Statewide Prosecution charged the two predators with trafficking a child and will work to ensure they never see another day outside of a prison cell again.”
The investigation was conducted by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Human Trafficking Section. It revealed that Armstrong and Whitfield offered the victim accommodation at $210 per week, then posted her on adult escort sites for sexual exploitation. Undercover operations confirmed both defendants’ involvement, with Armstrong admitting during a covert video call to posting the juvenile online.

– Human Trafficking of a Minor under 18 (life felony)
– Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device (third-degree felony)
– Deriving Support from Proceeds of Prostitution (second-degree felony)
Brittany Armstrong:
– Human Trafficking of a Minor under 18 (life felony)
