Attorney General James Uthmeier’s Office of Statewide Prosecution has charged Zatorya Daniels with two counts of organized retail theft. According to Attorney General Uthmeier, “This career criminal committed at least 16 thefts, stealing more than $20,000 worth of items in South Florida.” He credited Florida law enforcement for their efforts in bringing her crime spree to an end and expressed confidence that the Statewide Prosecutors would ensure she remains incarcerated.

The investigation revealed that Daniels stole 276 items valued at $21,066 from stores like Ulta Beauty and Walgreens. Her criminal history includes over 20 prior theft convictions. Daniels, often assisted by accomplices, would enter stores, conceal items in her handbag, and exit without paying. These thefts occurred across St. Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach, and Broward counties.

Daniels was arrested while already in custody for other charges and now faces up to 30 years in prison. The investigation was conducted by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, and Assistant Statewide Prosecutor Chris Olowin will be handling the case.
