Attorney General James Uthmeier’s Office of Statewide Prosecution has brought charges against Brian Keith Lasecki, a four-time felon, for voter fraud. Lasecki is accused of voting as an unqualified elector during the 2022 General Election while on probation.

Attorney General Uthmeier stated, “This defendant knowingly unlawfully participated in the 2022 election as a four-time felon on probation. This is a clear violation of the law, and our office is committed to enforcing accountability in order to protect the legitimacy of our elections.”

The investigation revealed that Lasecki submitted multiple voter registration applications in 2022, falsely indicating that his civil rights were restored and that he was no longer on probation. Lasecki admitted to voting in August of that year. His criminal history includes charges of two violations of probation, felony battery, and attempted first-degree murder.

Assistant Statewide Prosecutor Sophia Birriel-Sanchez is assigned to handle the case.
