Attorney General James Uthmeier has announced the formation of a transition team comprising conservative attorneys to assist with his administration’s transition activities. The team will provide advice and feedback as he organizes his office to advance the America First agenda.

The co-chairmen of the transition team include Joe Jacquot from Gunster, Jesse Panuccio from Boies Schiller Flexner, LLP, and David Dewhirst, Chief of Staff at the Office of the Attorney General. Other notable members are Chuck Cooper and David Thompson from Cooper Kirk; Jason Gonzales from Lawson Huck Gonzalez, PLLC; Ben Gibson from Shutts & Bowen LLP; Ashley Lukis from GrayRobinson, PA; Rachel Kamoutsas from the Florida Board of Governors; Mohammed Jazil from Holtzman Vogel; Daniel Epstein affiliated with America First Legal and St. Thomas University; Kellie Fiedorek from Alliance Defending Freedom; Dawn Hanson from the Executive Office of the Governor Human Resources; Carlos Trujillo from Continental PLLC; Ryan Newman, General Counsel at the Executive Office of the Governor, and Jeff Aaron from Downs Aaron.

James Uthmeier stated, “It’s a tremendous honor to serve the citizens of the Free State of Florida as our state’s 39th Attorney General. I’m grateful that these powerhouse attorneys are willing to offer their time and considerable experience as we implement the America First agenda and keep Florida safe, strong, and free.”
