Attorney General James Uthmeier has announced that the Office of Statewide Prosecution has filed 47 additional felony charges against Nathan Douglas Holmberg, 36. These new charges come on top of previous capital felony charges brought by State Attorney Bill Gladson in Hernando County.

“This monster committed the most heinous crimes imaginable against innocent children,” said Attorney General James Uthmeier. “We promised to bring the absolute maximum penalty under the law, and bringing these additional charges is part of fulfilling that promise. I commend our Statewide Special Task Force for leaving no stone unturned in this twisted case of cruelty.”

Holmberg was indicted by a Hernando County grand jury in November 2025 on 25 felony counts, including seven counts of capital sexual battery on a child under 12. Under Florida law as of 2023, these offenses are eligible for the death penalty. The complexity and scope of this case led to the formation of a special statewide task force to address jurisdictional challenges.

The newly filed charges in Pinellas County include 39 counts of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance, seven counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation on a Child Under 12, and one count of Video Voyeurism. In addition to facing the death penalty, Holmberg could now face up to ten life sentences if convicted.

The prosecution will be handled by the Office of Statewide Prosecution in Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit.
