Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) has announced that 16 skilled nursing centers and one assisted living facility in Florida have received the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) 2025 Silver – Achievement in Quality Award. This award is part of a three-level program recognizing providers nationwide for high-quality outcomes in long-term care.

The following facilities were awarded: Avante at Jacksonville Beach, Avante at St Cloud, Bay Pointe Nursing Pavilion, Boca Raton Rehabilitation Center, Community Care Center, Concordia Manor Inc, Covenant Living of Florida, Emerald Coast Center, Island Lake Center, Morton Plant Rehabilitation Center, Osprey Point Nursing, Parkside Health and Rehabilitation Center, River City Nursing and Rehab Center, The Oaks at Avon, The Residence at Timber Pines, Venice Health & Rehabilitation Center, and Winter Haven Health & Rehab Center.

“We could not be more proud of these members who have earned the Silver National Quality Award,” said Emmett Reed, FHCA Chief Executive Officer. “Florida continues to be a leader in delivering gold standard care.”

To achieve this award level requires first earning the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award. Facilities then adhere to criteria from the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program to improve processes systematically.

These Florida centers are among 209 long-term care organizations across 40 states that received the Silver award. Florida ranks second nationally with 51 centers having achieved this distinction. In addition to these awards, there are 167 centers in Florida with Bronze status and three with Gold status.

“The Silver recognition reflects unwavering dedication to performance improvement,” said Cathy Bergland, AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board Chair.

The recipients will be recognized during FHCA’s Annual Conference & Trade Show from July 13-17 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. The official presentation of the National Quality Awards will occur on October 21 at the AHCA/NCAL Delivering Solutions 25 Convention & Expo in Las Vegas.
