The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD) and The Florida Bar will host their first Job and Resource Fair on March 6, 2026, at the Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel. The event is aimed at connecting law students and young lawyers with employers in Florida and offering resources to assist in job searches. Activities scheduled for the day include continuing legal education (CLE) presentations, employer and resource booths, a resume workshop, on-site interviews, and headshot sessions. A welcome reception for attendees is planned for the evening of March 5.

Registration details for attendees and information for prospective sponsors are available online at https://flayld.org/job-resource-fair.

“This is not simply a Job Fair,” said YLD President Arti Ajit Hirani. “It is a collaborative effort to help build and strengthen firms across our state while creating meaningful, tangible pathways for young lawyers to secure gainful employment.” Hirani led the planning alongside YLD Board representatives Freddelle Menard, Nick Zbrzeznj, Alisha Moriceau, as well as The Florida Bar Board of Governors representatives Jordan Dresnick, Karl Klein, and Diego “Woody” Rodriguez.

Three CLE courses will be offered: “Interviewing Dos and Don’ts,” “Professionalism in Written Communications,” and “Chartering your Course: Young Lawyers as Trailblazers.” Speakers include Judge Jared M. Strauss of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida; Judge Elijah H. Williams from the 17th Judicial Circuit; Miami-Dade County Judge Gordon Murray; Palm Beach County Judge Santo DiGangi; Miami litigator Charise Morgan; and Brandon Sapp, co-chair of The Florida Bar Leadership Academy. Additional panels will feature other members of Florida’s legal community.

Resource and employer booths will be open throughout the event from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., allowing participants to interact with employers during the day. Opening and closing remarks will be delivered by leaders including Florida Bar President Sia Baker-Barnes and YLD President Hirani.

The Job and Resource Fair supports YLD President Hirani’s theme for her term, “Open for Opportunity.” She stated: “While this event is tailored to emerging lawyers, it represents an exciting milestone for all members of The Florida Bar. The Job and Resource Fair is a statement of our commitment to opening doors and creating opportunities for those who will carry our profession forward.”
