The Florida Bar Board of Governors is inviting applications for two attorney positions on the Florida Legal Aid (FFLA) Board of Directors. The vacancies will be filled at the Board of Governors’ meeting scheduled for January 23, 2026. Eligible applicants must be members in good standing with The Florida Bar.

The selected attorneys will serve three-year terms beginning July 1, 2026. The FFLA Board of Directors, which can have up to 33 members, oversees the administration of Florida’s Interest on Trust Accounts (IOTA) program. During their service, directors are required to be members of the FFLA.

Applications are being accepted until the close of business on Monday, January 5, 2026. According to the announcement, “Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of the required application. The Board of Governors will review all applications and may request telephone or personal interviews.”

Those interested in applying can download the Application for Special Appointment or contact Bar headquarters at (850) 561-3127 to obtain a form. Completed applications should be sent to the Executive Director at The Florida Bar’s office in Tallahassee or submitted via email.
