Florida Capitol to host ceremony marking Marine Corps’ 250th anniversary

A ceremony to honor the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Marine Corps is scheduled for November 12 at 11 a.m. in the Florida Capitol. The event will take place on the Fourth Floor Rotunda and is expected to last about 30 minutes.

Retired Marine Corps Major General James S. Hartsell, who serves as Executive Director of the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs, will host the ceremony. The public is invited to attend.

The event aims to recognize the history and contributions of the Marine Corps as it marks its milestone anniversary.
