The Florida Chamber of Commerce has released its annual “Florida Jobs and Competitiveness Agenda, Where We Stand 2025,” which outlines legislative priorities aimed at fostering economic growth in the state. The agenda was unveiled during the 2025 Florida Chamber Legislative Fly-In and is designed to maintain Florida’s position as a leader in business competitiveness.

Keith Koenig, Chairman of CITY Furniture and Chair of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, stated, “Florida is outpacing the nation, and the Florida Chamber of Commerce is leading the charge in uniting Florida leaders to ensure Florida remains a launchpad of economic opportunity, growth, and prosperity for all. Together, we are proving that a competitive economy, strong leadership, and a unified vision can transform lives, grow opportunity, and keep Florida, Florida.”

The agenda incorporates input from various stakeholders across the state using the “Florida 2030 Blueprint” and its Six Pillars Framework. It aims to make Florida one of the world’s top ten economies by 2030.

Mark Wilson, President & CEO of the Florida Chamber, remarked on their commitment: “Free enterprise isn’t free. The Florida Chamber fights every day to make Florida even more competitive and our legislative priorities address issues impacting local businesses and communities the most.”

The key priorities for 2025 include improving mental health outcomes based on recommendations from a recent report; addressing cost drivers in insurance; providing affordable workforce housing solutions; reducing tax burdens such as eliminating the Business Rent Tax; reforming lawsuit abuse; promoting rural economic development; investing in infrastructure to meet population demands; enhancing education for workforce readiness; and protecting constitutional integrity against external influences.

These initiatives reflect a concerted effort by the Chamber to create an environment conducive to innovation and opportunity for all residents and businesses in Florida.
