Tallahassee, Fla., May 23, 2025 – Florida Commissioner of Education Manny Diaz, Jr. has announced the books selected for March in the Commissioner’s Book of the Month initiative. This monthly reading challenge aims to promote literacy and engagement among students in preK-12 schools.

Commissioner Diaz highlights five recommended books each month, one for each selected grade range. The books chosen for this month are part of Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards reading list for grades K-12.

“This Memorial Day, we honor the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting our nation,” said Commissioner of Education Manny Diaz, Jr. “It is because of their courage and resilience, we continue to live in the land of the free.”
