The Florida Farm Bureau has announced that applications for its Classroom Mini-Grant program are now open. This initiative is available to educators in Florida who teach agriculture-related subjects from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Successful applicants will receive a $250 grant aimed at promoting agricultural education in their classrooms.
To apply, teachers need to submit a detailed proposal including budget information, project objectives, timelines, measurable outcomes, and plans for integrating Florida agriculture into their projects. The Florida Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee is responsible for reviewing the applications and distributing the grants.
“Our Florida Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee looks forward to distributing mini-grant checks each year to deserving teachers, and it brings us immense joy to see their innovative agricultural projects come to life in the classroom,” stated Victoria Register, Chair of the State Women’s Leadership Committee. She added, “Witnessing these teachers bring their creative ideas to fruition, enriching their students’ understanding of agriculture, is truly rewarding for our committee.”
Applications opened on Tuesday, July 8 and will remain open until Friday, September 12, 2025, closing at 5:00 p.m. EST. Recipients of the mini-grants will be informed via email by early October 2025.
Teachers who receive a grant must submit a report upon completing their project.
