The Florida Airboat Association and the Kissimmee River Valley Sportsman Association are providing an opportunity for Florida youth to engage in outdoor adventures through Summer Camp Scholarships. This initiative will grant 10 children a full scholarship to attend a week-long residential summer camp at one of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) premier outdoor youth camps.

Five girls will be selected to attend the Everglades Youth Conservation Center in West Palm Beach, while another five boys or girls will have the chance to attend the Ocala Outdoor Adventure Camp in Ocala. Both camps emphasize outdoor skills, conservation education, and recreational activities such as fishing, wildlife viewing, and safe firearm handling.

Children aged 8 to 16 are eligible for these scholarships. Recipients will be randomly chosen from submissions received at designated links to ensure fairness:

– Application for the EYCC Scholarship
– Application for the OOAC Scholarship

Scholarship recipients will receive full coverage of the registration fee for one summer camp session at either EYCC or OOAC. In addition, selected participants will be invited to join a youth hunt with the Youth Hunting Program of Florida, allowing them further engagement with Florida’s outdoor heritage.

The application deadline for these Summer Camp Scholarships is April 30. Parents and guardians can submit one entry per camper on behalf of their children.
