Florida Realtors have announced that they awarded $233,000 in scholarships this year through their Education Foundation Student Scholarship Program. This initiative, which began 15 years ago, has now provided nearly $3 million to assist 2,203 students in pursuing higher education.

Gina Micelotta, chair of the board of the Florida Realtors Education Foundation Inc., stated: “Since it began 15 years ago, the Florida Realtors Education Foundation Student Scholarship Program has awarded nearly $3 million ($2,978,000 in total) to help 2,203 young people continue their education and realize their dreams for the future.” She added that the scholarship funds are crucial financial support for both students and parents. “These scholarships are an investment in our future – Realtors across the state are honored to support these deserving young people and give back to our communities through this program,” Micelotta continued. She also expressed her honor in serving on the foundation’s board.

The recipients of these scholarships attend various institutions across Florida including the University of Florida, Florida State University, University of Central Florida, and others. They also study at universities outside of Florida such as Northwestern University and Auburn University. The selection criteria for applicants included academic achievements, financial need, connection to a Realtor family, and contributions to their family, school, and community.
