Florida Realtors and the Japan-America Real Estate Coalition Office (JARECO) have signed a cooperative agreement to enhance collaboration between real estate professionals in Florida and Japan. JARECO, established in 2013, serves as the main connection between the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and five major Japanese real estate groups, representing hundreds of thousands of professionals across Japan. The organization focuses on fostering global cooperation, research, and education within the real estate sector.
“Florida’s global real estate connections continue to grow, and this new partnership with JARECO opens even more doors for collaboration, learning, and investment between Florida and Japan,” said 2025 Florida Realtors President Tim Weisheyer, broker-owner of Dream Builders Realty and dbrCommercial Real Estate Services in Central Florida. “We’re proud to strengthen the bridge between our two markets and help Realtors in both countries find new pathways for success.”
The timing of the agreement coincides with increased economic activity and travel links between Florida and Japan. ZIPAIR, a subsidiary of Japan Airlines, recently announced plans to launch the first nonstop passenger flights connecting Florida with Asia. Four round-trip charter flights will operate between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Tokyo Narita (NRT), starting in February 2026.
Weisheyer added, “As the immediate past chairman of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, I understand the importance of international connectivity and am excited to see our years of work come to fruition. These new flights, combined with partnerships like this one, will help strengthen business and real estate relationships between Florida and Japan.”
The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority is responsible for managing both Orlando International Airport and Orlando Executive Airport.

According to the memorandum of understanding (MoU), both organizations will work together on professional development initiatives, sharing market data, and expanding global business outreach. They also aim to promote ethical standards, professionalism, and innovation within international real estate markets.
