The Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network has announced its economic impact results for 2024, showcasing significant contributions to the state’s economy. The network, which offers consulting, training, and market research at no cost to small business owners across more than 40 offices in Florida, reported substantial achievements.

In 2024, the Florida SBDC Network provided over 107,000 hours of consulting services to more than 15,000 clients. This support helped secure $304 million in capital and awarded $732 million in government contracts. Additionally, the network’s efforts impacted nearly 19,800 jobs and resulted in a $3.8 billion increase in sales along with the launch of 1,019 new businesses.

Greg Britton, state director of the Florida SBDC Network stated: “These numbers represent more than just data – they tell the story of our team and the determination of Florida’s small businesses. They reflect dreams realized, jobs created, and communities strengthened.”

The network emphasizes its role as a primary resource for small businesses seeking professional guidance beyond basic information. It aims to deliver meaningful advice that drives tangible results.

The Florida SBDC Network continues to focus on collaboration with strategic partners to enhance success rates within the small business community. The goal is to help build enduring legacies for families throughout Florida.
