FloridaCommerce offers $1.52M for community planning initiatives

FloridaCommerce has announced the availability of $1.52 million in funding for eligible organizations and local governments through the Community Planning and Technical Assistance (CPTA) grant program. This funding aims to support communities in addressing various planning initiatives, including economic development, resiliency strategies, and critical local planning issues. The program also encourages innovative planning solutions to protect Florida’s natural resources. Interested parties must submit their applications by Friday, August 1, 2025.

In the Fiscal Year 2024-2025, FloridaCommerce awarded $1.52 million for community planning projects through the CPTA Grant Program. Of these funds, $1.3 million was allocated to rural communities across 20 out of 25 projects. Since 2019, more than $7.5 million has been awarded to over 93 Florida communities.
