The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will honor nine anglers for their notable achievements in bass fishing at the upcoming TrophyCatch Hall of Fame Ceremony. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m. at the Daytona Bass Pro Shops in Daytona Beach.
Each of the recognized anglers caught and released a largemouth bass weighing 13 pounds or more during the past season. According to FWC, these catches qualify them for entry into the program’s Hall of Fame category.
TrophyCatch is an initiative by FWC that aims to improve knowledge about Florida’s bass populations and promote conservation practices among anglers. The program encourages participants to submit documentation of bass they catch that weigh eight pounds or more, offering prizes and recognition as incentives. These submissions also support scientific research efforts conducted by FWC.
Since its inception in 2012, TrophyCatch has developed a strong community focused on responsible fishing and celebrating significant catches across the state.
