Governor Ron DeSantis has proposed the 2025-2026 Focus on Fiscal Responsibility budget, which emphasizes investments in workforce development, economic growth, and infrastructure readiness. This initiative is aimed at benefiting job seekers, job creators, and Florida taxpayers.

Industry leaders have expressed their support for the budget recommendations. Mark Wilson, President and CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, praised the plan to eliminate the Florida-only business rent tax. “Every dollar in tax savings is money that Florida’s local businesses could be spending to hire new employees,” he stated.

Beth Cicchetti from the Florida Economic Development Council highlighted the budget’s role in enhancing Florida’s appeal as a business destination. She remarked on its importance in a competitive global economy.
