Statement from the James Madison Institute on the release of the Trump Administration’s AI Action Plan

The James Madison Institute has expressed its views on the Trump Administration’s recently unveiled AI action plan. Edward Longe, Director of National Strategy and Director of the Center for Technology and Innovation at The James Madison Institute, stated: “Trump’s AI action plan isn’t just federal policy—it’s a blueprint state lawmakers should follow immediately to root out the regulatory creep that’s strangling AI, even in red states.”

Turner Loesel, Policy Analyst at The James Madison Institute, commented on the importance of legislative support: “While the White House’s action plan is a welcome step, Congress and State legislators will need to support the Administration’s pro-innovation framework to sustain America’s AI dominance.”

The James Madison Institute is a nonprofit organization focused on promoting limited government, economic freedom, federalism, and individual liberty with responsibility. It conducts research in areas such as education, healthcare, taxes, and regulatory environments.
