The James Madison Institute has published a new policy brief focused on data centers. According to JMI Policy Analyst Turner Loesel, “Data centers are the digital highways of the 21st century, powering everything from our critical financial and healthcare systems to artificial intelligence.” Loesel emphasized that states modernizing regulations to attract investment in data centers could see economic growth and job creation while protecting consumers from higher energy costs.

The publication titled “Digital Foundations: The Essential Guide to Data Centers and Their Growth” is now available for reading.

The James Madison Institute is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting limited government, economic freedom, federalism, and individual liberty with responsibility. It conducts research on various issues including criminal justice, health care, taxes, and regulatory environments.
