JAXPORT appoints Juan Pablo Acosta Magaña as director of cargo sales for Latin America

Juan Pablo Acosta Magaña has been appointed as the Director of Cargo Sales for Latin America at JAXPORT. This new role is part of the port’s efforts to enhance its connections with containerized cargo customers in South America, Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Acosta Magaña will work on building relationships and providing service to key industry leaders in these regions.

Acosta Magaña brings two decades of experience in international trade and logistics. He has previously held sales and customer service positions at major ocean carriers such as Maersk Line, Hamburg Süd, and Hapag-Lloyd. His background also includes work in freight forwarding and supply chain optimization.

Originally from Venezuela, Acosta Magaña earned a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Science in International Commerce from Universidad Alejandro de Humboldt. He is fluent in both Spanish and English.
