The Canaveral Port Authority has entered into a long-term agreement with MSC Cruises, confirming the deployment of ships at the port through 2028. This agreement includes plans for MSC’s fourth World Class ship to begin operations in the 2027-28 cruise season.
Starting in Winter 2026-2027, MSC Grandiosa will offer year-round seven-night Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral. This follows its inaugural season scheduled for Winter 2025-2026. Additionally, MSC Seashore will continue providing three- and four-night cruises to The Bahamas and Ocean Cay Marine Reserve.
Capt. John Murray, CEO of Port Canaveral, expressed enthusiasm about this development: “We are excited to have MSC Cruises expand their presence at Port Canaveral with the arrival of MSC Grandiosa and the deployment of their fourth World Class ship to homeport with us.” He noted that these additions would provide more sailing options from Central Florida.
Lynn Torrent, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer of MSC Cruises USA, also commented on the partnership: “Our commitment to Port Canaveral is stronger than ever,” citing strong support from partners and growing guest demand. Torrent emphasized that having ships offering both short and seven-night cruises year-round would cater to various customer preferences.
The new World-Class ship remains unnamed but promises extensive amenities such as dining venues, bars and lounges, an outdoor family venue called The Harbour featuring attractions like a swing ride and water park, an open-air promenade with shopping and dining experiences, a three-level galleria lined with bars and shops, and the largest MSC Yacht Club in the Caribbean for luxury travelers.
