John Waas, a retired Navy pilot, is leveraging his extensive military experience in his real estate career. With over three decades of service, Waas has transitioned into real estate, bringing with him leadership skills and a strategic mindset developed during his time as a Navy pilot.

Waas is among the first group of 20 Realtors to achieve Florida Realtors Board Certified Professional status. This endorsement recognizes Realtors who have excelled in their profession through leadership and education.

Focusing on the housing needs of service members, Waas uses his military connections and knowledge of housing programs to assist clients with relocation challenges. “Professionalism is key to me,” says Waas. He emphasizes sharing information to maintain professionalism in the industry.

Waas volunteers at the Navy housing office, helping military families find suitable housing. “I really enjoy working with military families,” he explains. His efforts have earned him respect within the community.

Committed to continuous learning, Waas stays informed about market trends to provide sound advice to clients. “I think the biggest thing is to understand the stress military families go through,” he notes.

A member of the Pensacola Association of Realtors military housing committee, Waas coordinates volunteer efforts without soliciting business. The program assists with rentals and financing questions for military personnel.

Beyond real estate, Waas serves on the board for Water and Youth Safety Pensacola, promoting water safety education for children. “We teach kids the basics of water safety,” says Waas.

Active in Realtor associations at both local and state levels, including serving on Florida Realtors Board of Directors, Waas aims to improve professionalism and highlight community involvement benefits.

From aiding military families with housing needs to teaching children about water safety, John Waas exemplifies community commitment in his role as a real estate professional.
