The Seventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission announced on Mar. 30 that it has received twelve applications for upcoming vacancies in the Volusia County Court and Putnam County Court. The vacancies follow the elevation of Judge Katherine Miller and the resignation of Judge Anne Marie Gennusa.
The commission will conduct in-person interviews with all applicants on Tuesday, April 7, at the Steven C. Henderson Judicial Center in Daytona Beach. The public can also attend via Zoom using Meeting ID 835 4941 4837 and passcode 950522.
Applicants for Volusia County include Tonya Cromartie, Robin Hutcheson, John Kiel, Hon. Mark Miller, Hunter Morrill, Regina Nunnally, David Peters, and Ann Phillips. For Putnam County, the candidates are Constance Daniels, Dominic Piscitello, Alexander Sharp IV, and George Young.
After public interviews conclude at approximately 11:35 a.m., the commission will enter an executive session for confidential deliberations as provided by Article V, Section 11(d) of the Florida Constitution. The commission encourages members of the public to submit comments regarding applicant qualifications to Travis Mydock by noon on April 6; all correspondence will be treated as a public record under Chapter 119 of Florida Statutes.
All proceedings are open to the public except for deliberations.
