Thirteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission will suggest names to two vacancies

The Thirteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission was convened by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to submit names of candidates for two recent vacancies on county courts. 

The vacancies occurred by the resignation of Judge John Conrad and the elevation of Judge Logan Murphy to the County Court bench.

Applicants must submit their Judicial applications before 5 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024. Interviews are scheduled to take place during the week of July 15. Members of the public are welcome to attend the interviews. 

Requirements for applying include having been a member of the Florida Bar for the past five years at minimum, and being a registered voter. Individuals who are appointed are required to reside within the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit at the time of their appointment. 

Members of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission include Chair Maximillian Amster, Vice Chair Pedro Bajo, Michael Beltran, Candace Rich, Andrew J. Mayts, Jr., Adam D. Griffin, Diego Pestana, Matthew Hall, and Charles Reynolds.
