The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will convene in person on September 17-18 at the Hawks Cay Resort, located at 61 Hawks Cay Blvd., Duck Key, FL 33050. The meeting will commence at 8:30 a.m. ET each day and is open to the public.
The FWC emphasizes providing opportunities for public input. Several avenues are available prior to the Commission meeting for submitting comments. Additionally, time is allocated for public speakers during the Commission meeting.
Public speaking is organized through a speaker registration process with time limits. To maximize input from attendees, the Chairman reserves the right to designate the amount of time given to each topic and speaker. To ensure sufficient time for addressing business needs, there will be no more than two hours of public comment on items not on the agenda at this meeting. Public comment on non-agenda items will be heard at the end of the second day, September 18. The deadline for registration to speak on non-agenda items is 10 a.m. on September 18.
