Jacksonville Realtor wins Spirit of Advocacy Award

Galavis has effectively utilized her background in political science and passion for political issues throughout her career. She served as the 2023 president of NEFAR and remains highly active in her local association. As chair of NEFAR’s Legislative Committee in 2015, she attended numerous City Council meetings with local representatives to discuss key community issues and continues to support and partner on local projects.

For a decade, Galavis has participated in candidate screenings for various offices at the local, state, and federal levels. As a leading advocate for RPAC (the Realtor Political Action Committee), she helped achieve record-breaking results during NEFAR's 40th annual RPAC auction last year, raising over $147,000 in one night.

At the state level, Galavis has been involved with Florida Realtors since 2015 as a key contact for several legislators. She is recognized as a Golden R investor and member of the RPAC Hall of Fame. Her contributions include serving on multiple committees such as Florida Realtors Public Policy Committee, Legislative and Regulatory Business Issues Subcommittee, and the Legislative and Political Forum. Additionally, she is a 2013 graduate of Florida Realtors Leadership Academy.

Early in her career, Galavis identified an opportunity to bridge the gap between young professionals and Realtor advocacy efforts. Through her involvement with Young Professionals Network (YPN) Committees at both state and local levels, she emphasized the importance of advocacy involvement and investment through RPAC.

Nationally, Galavis graduated from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Leadership Academy in 2017. She serves as NAR’s federal political coordinator for Congressman John Rutherford, providing input on flood insurance and housing policy issues. Currently, she serves on NAR's State and Local Issues Mobilization Committee as well as the Consumer Advocacy Outreach Advisory Board; she will be vice-chair in 2025.

Galavis remains a dedicated advocate for private property rights, actively promoting Realtor engagement and investment while representing the real estate profession with distinction.
