Governor Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis attended the Central Florida Leadership Prayer Breakfast in Plant City, Florida, where they discussed their administration's focus on faith, family, and life. The event was organized by All Pro Pastors, a nonprofit founded in 2007 to support and foster fellowship among pastors.
“Florida’s faith-based institutions have long served and strengthened communities across the state,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “We are proud to support and partner with the faith community in Florida, and we thank them for their critical role in the Hope Florida initiative.”
First Lady Casey DeSantis emphasized the collaborative efforts of various community sectors: “By uniting individuals from all sectors of the community who want to help, we have created a network of support beyond what government can do alone. A sincere thank you to our state’s faith leaders for serving Florida families through Hope Florida’s CarePortal. The Governor and I are grateful that an increasing number of Floridians are getting help and finding success thanks to the faith community’s role in Hope Florida.”
The couple also prayed for Florida as Tropical Storm Helene approaches.
Hope Florida is an initiative implemented across multiple state agencies that provides immediate and long-term assistance through Hope Navigation. It financially supports nonprofits and churches via the Hope Florida Fund. The program aims to guide Floridians toward economic independence by fostering collaboration between private sectors, nonprofits, government entities, and faith-based communities. The Hope Florida CarePortal notifies participating churches about urgent needs within their communities.
Floridians can contact Hope Navigators by calling 833-GET-HOPE for assistance in identifying needs, setting goals, mapping out plans, and ensuring comprehensive community involvement in solutions. Since its launch three years ago, nearly 30,000 Floridians have reduced or eliminated their reliance on government assistance—an effort projected to save the State of Florida approximately $800 million over the next decade.
