Activate Hope serves as the emergency response arm for the Hope Florida initiative. It coordinates resources from the private sector, nonprofits, and government agencies to assist Floridians recovering from disasters. Currently, Activate Hope is helping connect residents with food, household goods, home repairs, and other necessary resources following Hurricane Helene.
Volunteer Florida is the state’s primary agency for volunteerism and community service. Established in 1994 as the Florida Commission on Community Service, it promotes volunteerism statewide, administers national service programs, and coordinates disaster recovery efforts in affected communities.
