Uber Technologies, Inc. has announced the first major redesign of its driver app since 2018, aimed at improving the user experience for its millions of drivers and couriers.
The update introduces a new home screen, a map preview showing busy areas, and a clearer breakdown of earnings.
“Today marks the first major redesign of the Uber driver app since 2018,” said Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber. “This update reflects our commitment to making your everyday experience not just safer and fairer, but also significantly easier.”
The redesigned app features a new home screen with one-tap access to essential tools and a session summary to help drivers evaluate their performance. The new earnings breakdown provides clear insights into how much of the fare goes to the driver, Uber, and other costs like insurance and fees.
This update is expected to make critical information more accessible, reflecting Uber’s focus on enhancing the driver experience.
