Secretary Byrd outlines early voting options for Florida's general election

Today, Secretary of State Cord Byrd reminded Florida voters about early voting options for the upcoming General Election on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

"Early voting will be available statewide beginning Saturday, October 26 through Saturday, November 2, 2024. Early voting may already be underway in counties that choose to provide additional early voting dates," stated Secretary of State Cord Byrd. "Voters who have not already submitted a ballot have the option to vote at any designated early voting site in their county of residence."

Governor DeSantis has issued Executive Order 24-212 and Executive Order 24-234 to ensure that residents affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton still have the ability to vote. Those living in the impacted counties can contact their county Supervisor of Elections office for details on early voting.

Early Voting allows individuals to cast ballots before Election Day at locations designated by the Supervisor of Elections. The process and equipment used are identical to those on Election Day.

Florida voters with questions about early voting should reach out to their county Supervisor of Elections for information.

The Division of Elections provides daily online statistics on early voting and vote-by-mail based on reports filed by Supervisors of Elections.

Florida law offers eligible voters three methods to exercise their right: polling on Election Day, early voting, and vote-by-mail. Voters are encouraged to consult their county Supervisor of Elections office for more details about these options.
