Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced appointments to the Mid-Bay Bridge Authority. Robert Marinan has been appointed, while Gordon Fornell and James Wood have been reappointed.
Robert Marinan from Destin is a former Senior Manager at Boeing Company. He served in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Currently, he is involved with the Defense Support Initiative and Niceville-Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce. His academic background includes a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of West Florida.
Gordon Fornell, based in Niceville, retired as a Lieutenant General from the United States Air Force. He participates in the Defense Support Initiative and Okaloosa County and Niceville Military Affairs Committees. Fornell holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in public policy and transportation from the University of Pennsylvania.
James Wood, also residing in Destin, is an Army veteran who retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He previously served on the Destin City Council and has received several military honors including the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star. Wood's educational qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in political science from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree in public administration from Auburn University.
