The Florida Department of Education has launched the XploreFLEd initiative, aimed at providing students nationwide with access to Florida's workforce education courses. The announcement was made by Commissioner of Education Manny Diaz, Jr., highlighting the state's commitment to becoming a leader in workforce education by 2030.
“With the launch of this initiative, Florida is extending an invitation to students nationwide to experience our first-class, outcome-driven education system,” said Commissioner of Education Manny Diaz, Jr. “Our goal is clear – by 2030, Florida will be the national leader in workforce education, focused on practical skills and career readiness, free from unnecessary distractions that don’t belong in the classroom. We are excited to welcome out-of-state students to utilize XploreFLEd.”
Participating institutions include Polk State College, Miami Dade College, and Tallahassee State College. The program aims to provide high-quality education without divisive rhetoric or indoctrination-based curricula.
“Polk State College is excited to partner with the Florida Department of Education to offer out-of-state students access to Florida’s first-class education system,” said Polk State College President Angela Garcia Falconetti, Ed.D. “This initiative expands our reach and enables students nationwide to benefit from our programs, which are closely aligned with workforce needs, providing them with the skills necessary to thrive in today’s evolving job market.”
“At Miami Dade College, we are proud to partner with the Florida Department of Education on the XploreFLEd initiative,” said Miami Dade College President Madeline Pumariega. “This program opens doors for students across the country, offering them the chance to access high-quality workforce education programs.
