NFIB endorses Rick Scott for re-election to U.S. Senate

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has endorsed Senator Rick Scott for re-election to the United States Senate. The announcement was made at a campaign event held at Ascend Engineering, a small business in Largo and NFIB member.

Bill Herrle, NFIB Florida Executive Director, expressed support for Senator Scott by stating, "There is no question that Senator Scott has been a staunch ally of small businesses in our state." Herrle highlighted Scott's history as a former Florida governor and his advocacy for pro-growth policies. He noted that Senator Scott has maintained a 100% NFIB voting record this session and supports significant legislation like the Main Street Tax Certainty Act, which he co-sponsors.

Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, commented on Senator Scott's understanding of issues important to their members. "He has a solid record of promoting legislation that strengthens the small business economy and encourages small business owners to grow and thrive," she said.

The endorsement comes from NFIB FedPAC, the organization's political action committee. This committee is funded through voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their membership dues. The decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are driven by grassroots evaluations conducted by its members.

NFIB is dedicated to advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses across the nation.
