Republicans secure trifecta in Florida amid small business concerns

As small businesses in Florida continue to navigate economic uncertainty, the recent elections saw the success of many candidates who have pledged to support small business interests. The NFIB FedPAC and NFIB Florida PAC backed several candidates who secured victories.

Bill Herrle, NFIB Florida Executive State Director, expressed satisfaction with the election outcomes. "We are pleased to see so many pro-small business candidates win their elections, and we are confident that they will prioritize Florida’s Main Street in Washington, D.C. and Tallahassee," he stated. He emphasized the importance of these officials supporting policies that strengthen the economy and maintain Florida's reputation as a favorable place for business.

In federal races, Senator Rick Scott successfully retained his seat in the U.S. Senate. Additionally, incumbents such as Rep. Neal Dunn (FL-02), Rep. Aaron Bean (FL-04), Rep. Michael Waltz (FL-06), Rep. Cory Mills (FL-07), Rep. Greg Stuebe (FL-17), and Rep. Byron Donalds (FL-19) won re-election to the U.S House.

On a state level, Republicans held onto their supermajorities in both chambers of the Florida Legislature. The NFIB Florida PAC had endorsed over 80 candidates for legislative positions, with notable wins including Corey Simon for Senate District 3 and Rep. Alex Andrade securing re-election for Florida House District 2.
