Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Belvin Perry Jr. to the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University Board of Trustees.
Belvin Perry Jr., who is retired, previously worked as a Personal Injury Attorney for Morgan & Morgan and served as the Chief Judge on the Ninth Judicial Circuit. He has been actively involved in his community, holding positions such as Chair of the Trial Court Budget Commission, Chair of the Florida Innocence Commission, and President of the National Conference of Metropolitan Courts. Perry obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees from Tuskegee University and his juris doctor from Texas Southern University.
The appointment is pending confirmation by the Florida Senate.
