Flounder fishing season reopens with specific size and bag limits

The recreational harvest of flounder in Florida's state and federal waters is set to resume on December 1. Anglers will need to adhere to a minimum size limit of 14 inches total length for the flounder they catch. Additionally, there is a daily bag limit allowing each person to keep up to five fish.

For those seeking further information on current regulations regarding recreational flounder fishing, resources are available online. Interested individuals can visit MyFWC.com/Marine, navigate through “Recreational Regulations” and select “Flounder.” Alternatively, the Fish Rules App offers accessible details on these guidelines.
