D-SNAP assistance available for four Florida counties after recent hurricanes

The Department of Children and Families (DCF) has announced the opening of Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) locations in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, and Taylor counties. This initiative aims to assist Florida residents affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton who are not already receiving aid through the regular Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Residents from these counties who have pre-registered online but missed their D-SNAP phone interview can now attend an on-site location for an in-person interview. However, those who completed a phone interview are not required to participate in person.

Pre-registration will be reopened for individuals who reside in these counties and did not register previously. The DCF encourages online pre-registration before attending on-site interviews. The registration period begins on the first day of each event and ends on the last day. Pre-registration is available at www.myflfamilies.com/DSNAP.

The designated D-SNAP locations and schedules are as follows:

- **Hillsborough County**: Raymond James Stadium, 4201 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33607. Dates: December 3-5, 2024. Hours: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

- **Polk County**: RP Funding Center, 701 W. Lime Street, Lakeland, FL 33815. Dates: December 6-8, 2024. Hours: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

- **Pinellas County**: Tropicana Field, 1 Tropicana Drive, St. Petersburg, FL 33705. Dates: December 7-9, 2024. Hours: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

- **Taylor County**: Taylor County Extension – Capital Hall, 203 Forest Park Drive, Perry, FL 32348. Dates: December 7-9, 2024. Hours: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Current SNAP recipients are not eligible for D-SNAP benefits and should avoid attending the events at these locations. Those approved during telephone interviews will receive their EBT cards by mail without needing to attend in person.

Individuals should only attend events scheduled for their respective county as service will not be provided outside one's residential county.

Media representatives intending to cover these events must contact the Department’s Press Office prior to arrival for arrangements regarding interviews available only on the first day of each event.
