Florida's Office of Financial Regulation has placed the Alliance Credit Union of Florida in Gainesville under conservatorship, with the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) appointed as conservator. This move aims to stabilize the credit union while ensuring its continued operation.
According to the NCUA, member deposits at Alliance Credit Union of Florida remain secure through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund. This fund insures individual accounts up to $250,000 and offers similar coverage for joint accounts. It also protects IRA and KEOGH retirement accounts up to $250,000.
