The Office of Financial Regulation (OFR) in Tallahassee, Florida, has issued a reminder to associated persons of investment advisers about the upcoming deadline for completing continuing education requirements. These individuals must complete their continuing education before December 26, 2024, to maintain their active registration status.
The Central Registration Depository (CRD) will close for the year on December 26. Continuing education credits will be based on what is reported in the system by that date. All courses need to be completed and reported before December 26 so that credits can be applied before January 2.
Investment advisers registered or previously registered in Florida or any jurisdiction requiring continuing education must finish at least 12 credits annually by December 31. The requirement includes six credits each from Products and Practices courses and Ethics and Professional Responsibility courses.
For detailed course requirements, individuals are directed to visit the North American Securities Administrators Association’s (NASAA) online Investment Adviser Representative Continuing Education section. They can also reach out via email at IARCE@nasaa.org or phone at (803) 734-9916 for inquiries.
