Florida Realtors has announced the opening of its student scholarship program for 2025. The scholarships are available to students whose parents are realtors or licensed real estate practitioners, as well as those employed by local Realtor boards, associations, or Florida Realtors itself. Additionally, any Florida student currently enrolled in a school, including home-schooled and charter school students, can apply.
Eligible applicants include Florida high school seniors planning to attend college or university, current undergraduate students from Florida, and Florida residents pursuing graduate degrees. There is no restriction on the location of the college or university attended, provided the applicant intends to return to work in Florida after graduation. Proof of legal residency in Florida is required.
The application process involves completing an online form available on the Florida Realtors website. Applicants must submit a paragraph about their leadership skills, upload a government ID for residency proof, provide transcripts from the last three years, and supply three reference letters—two from educators and one personal reference—all dated January 2024 or later. An acceptance letter from colleges where they plan to attend in fall 2025 is also needed.
Scholarships start at $1,000, with amounts and numbers varying each year based on decisions by the Education Foundation’s Board of Directors. Selection criteria include academic achievements, financial need, community involvement, and leadership qualities. The Board has "sole and absolute discretion" over applicant qualifications.
Applications must be submitted online by noon on March 6, 2025. Mailed or faxed applications will not be accepted. More information and FAQs can be found on the application page and Florida Realtors’ member website scholarships page.
