Jeff Parker Farms, a fourth-generation farming family from St. Johns County, will be featured in a Super Bowl commercial with the tagline “Lay’s are made from real potatoes, and our potatoes come from real farmers.”
The 60-second commercial concludes with a photo of DeLee Parker, age 5, holding two potatoes from the family’s farm. A transition follows with a photo collage of her dad, Jeffrey, his dad, Jeff, and his dad’s cousin Scott, along with their multiple generations of farmers in the family photo. Two other farming families are featured in the collage at the end of the commercial. They are Wesley Smith of Smith Farms (St. Johns County) and his wife April, and their three sons (Putnam County).
The ad showcases generational farm families who are committed to sustainable farming practices while growing high-quality crops.
“As the voice of Florida’s farmers and ranchers, we are so proud to see our agricultural community represented on such a grand stage,” said Florida Farm Bureau Federation President Jeb S. Smith, who is a resident of St. Johns County. “These farms embody the passion and dedication that drive Florida agriculture and play a vital role in supporting our local economy.”
