Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced appointments to the Lower Florida Keys Hospital District. Nancy Swift has been appointed, while Mary Chambers and James "Doc" Muir have been reappointed.
Nancy Swift is a Certified Public Accountant and Realtor. She is involved in her community as a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Key West Association of Realtors. Swift holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Florida International University.
Mary Chambers serves as President of MyCERA, Inc. Her previous roles include Superintendent of Alachua County Schools and Deputy Superintendent of Monroe County Schools. Currently, she is the Treasurer for both the Monroe County Education Foundation and the Monroe County Tropical Research Nonprofit. Chambers earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida State University, a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Central Florida, and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Florida.
James “Doc” Muir is retired after serving as an Airline Pilot for FedEx Corporation. He is also a veteran of the United States Navy with over 20 years of service. Muir completed his bachelor's degree at the State University of New York.
