Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced two appointments to the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court. Amanda Levy-Reis and James Stewart have been selected to fill vacancies created by recent resignations.
Amanda Levy-Reis, hailing from Bonita Springs, has been appointed as a judge on the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court. Since 2023, she has served as a Staff Attorney for Florida Rural Legal Services. Her previous experience includes working as a Law Clerk for the U.S. District Court. She completed her bachelor's degree and juris doctor at Stetson University. Levy-Reis takes over following the resignation of Judge Joseph Fuller.
James Stewart from Naples will also serve as a judge on the same court. He has held the position of Deputy Chief Assistant State Attorney in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit since 2022 and has been an Assistant State Attorney there since 2007. Stewart earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and his juris doctor from Northeastern University. His appointment follows Judge James Sloan's resignation.
