The Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA), in collaboration with Americans for Prosperity-Ohio (AFP-OH) and the Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF), has issued a letter supporting House Bill 11. The bill, which pertains to the Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act, aims to enhance transparency and accountability within Ohio's rulemaking process.
Emma Garelick, State Government Affairs Director at FGA, emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability, stating that "Ohioans deserve transparency and accountability at every level." She highlighted the need to restore balance in Columbus and protect Ohio families from costly government regulations.
Donovan O’Neil, State Director at AFP-OH, expressed support for the REINS Act as well. He remarked on its necessity to ensure regulatory policies benefit people rather than bureaucratic interests. He thanked Reps. Ferguson and Lorenz for their leadership and urged the General Assembly to back this legislation. O'Neil noted that "AFP-OH is committed to working closely with lawmakers to advance the REINS Act."
The letter from these organizations highlights three key provisions of House Bill 11 aimed at benefiting Ohioans by addressing burdensome regulations.
