The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) has announced the recipients of the 2025 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award. The Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) recognizes 41 skilled nursing centers in Florida that have achieved this honor.
"Florida's nursing centers are committed to being the gold standard in quality care, and this award reflects the focus of our dedicated caregivers who work tirelessly every day to improve the lives of our state's long term care residents," stated FHCA Chief Executive Officer Emmett Reed. "We are proud to recognize our members for their resident-centered focus and pursuit of excellence in care delivery.”
The Bronze National Quality Award is part of a three-tier recognition program under AHCA/NCAL’s National Quality Award Program. This program acknowledges long term care providers that meet increasingly stringent standards aimed at enhancing the lives of both residents and staff.
Among those recognized are Aspire at Bradenton, Bridgeview Center in Ormond Beach, Cedarbrook Health & Rehabilitation Center in Fort Myers, Indian River Center in West Melbourne, and Nursing and Rehab Center of New Port Richey, among others.
In total, 167 skilled nursing centers in Florida have received the Bronze - Commitment to Quality Award. Additional recipients for the Silver Quality Award will be announced later this month. Notably, Florida also hosts three Gold - Excellence in Quality Award recipients: Highlands Lake Center in Lakeland, Life Care Center of Sarasota, and The Villages Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Lady Lake.
Nationwide, 653 long term care centers earned the Bronze distinction. Cathy Bergland, AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board Chair remarked, "Starting the Quality Award journey is about more than recognition—it’s about building a culture that puts quality first.” She congratulated each recipient for embracing this commitment.
The awarded Florida centers will be honored during FHCA’s 2025 Annual Conference & Trade Show from July 13-17 at Hyatt Regency Orlando. This event will celebrate all FHCA members who achieve quality recognitions such as the National Quality Award and Governor’s Gold Seal Award for Excellence in Long-Term Care.
Additionally, national awardees will be acknowledged during AHCA/NCAL’s Elevating Excellence Awards Ceremony on October 21 at their Convention & Expo: Delivering Solutions 25 held in Las Vegas.
