James Madison Institute criticizes FCC's net neutrality ruling

The James Madison Institute (JMI) has released a statement in response to the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) announcement regarding the reinstatement of Net Neutrality guidelines.

Dr. Edward Longe, Director of the Center for Tech and Innovation at JMI, commented on the FCC's decision: "Today, the Federal Communications Commission announced plans to vote on reinstating unnecessary Net Neutrality guidelines. As a result of the new burdensome regulations, Floridians will struggle to enjoy the record speeds and reliability that was evident when the commission employed a light touch regulatory framework. Net Neutrality is just another tenant of failed Bidenomics that will raise prices for consumers and increase government control over free and functioning markets."

The statement reflects JMI's position on regulatory approaches affecting internet services and market operations.
