Florida Health Care Association sets up Hurricane Helene Relief Fund for caregivers

The Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) has initiated a Hurricane Helene Relief Fund to support caregivers working in the association's member nursing centers and assisted living facilities. This fund aims to assist employees impacted by the hurricane and aid in their recovery efforts.

“In the midst of one of the largest hurricanes to hit our state, our caregivers braved the storm to serve our residents and ensure their safety and the highest quality of care,” said FHCA CEO Emmett Reed. “These heroes put the needs of others before themselves to safeguard the well-being of Florida’s most vulnerable residents. We honor them by supporting their recovery through this relief fund set up to ensure they can rebuild.”

All contributions to FHCA’s Hurricane Helene Relief Fund will be directed entirely towards those affected. The relief fund was created through the Florida Health Care Education and Development Foundation, which is FHCA’s 501c (3) tax-exempt organization.
